Not very impressed with workplace benefits for hourly employees.
expensive health benefits, have to pay to be a part of the discount program
In order to get health insurance you have to pay a huge monthly premium to them. It's just not worth it when you can barely live from check to check.
Health insurance for a family of four is $1000/month (and the insurance is not that great). Not very competitive. The vision and dental plans are stellar and cost-effective, however.
Employee discount program, one word... GENIUS! It takes a really creative person to think "Hmm let's not only make profit from our customers, let's also make profit from our hardworking employees!" No, the food is not free, and they charge you a monthly fee of $9 so you can pay 50% off the food. If you choose not to pay the fee, then you can pay full price. Do the math of paying 50% off meals and the FEE per year and you will see. They are winning either way. Takes a greedy mind to come up with such an idea.
Pretty good employee discount. Health insurance is outrageous and expensive!! Does not off enough paid time off/vacation.
Employee discount is great but doesn't pay the bills. The health insurance is very expensive, flexible schedule is not available, paid time off is fair but you have to work overtime to makeup the time you took off. If you need to leave 2 hours early you have to use 1/2 day! You can work 20 hours a month overtime but if you need a 1/2 day off you have to use what little time off you have or leave without pay.
Need to maintain certain amount of hours to keep benefits.
Easy to request time off
Benefits available only after one year of employment; working over 30 hours per week. Costs are astronomical (more affordable to get healthcare on your own), and Landry's will do their best to prevent FOH staff from maintaining 30 hours per week. Employee discount is extended ONLY to those that PAY FOR IT! It costs $20 each month ($5.00 taken out of weekly checks). ONLY THEN may employees drink iced tea and fountain soda during shifts and receive a 50% discount on overpriced food AFTER their shifts)
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
