Disability only covers a small portion of your paid time when on maternity leave. You get six weeks after the baby is born of full time pay, but you have to use 30 days of sick leave before you get this pay. So, if you have the baby before you go on leave, then you would only get about 2 weeks of disability pay. However, after disability pay ends, you still get job guarantee and benefits for 12 weeks. So, if you can afford to be without the salary, you could potentially get about 4 months off with your baby.

Not really paid but only use the disablity insurance company to pay a little bit for your 6 weeks. most of the time, you need to use your own sick leave and vacation time to cover it.
