At the time, we were under the same UAW contact as General Motors employees. So, the benefits were unbeatable. Now, I'm guessing that's changed a lot.
Lear doesn't care about their employees. People are treated like they are expendable and no effort is made to retain good employees. No mentoring is done to prepare us for the next step and our pay has not kept up with the market
Pros: -Excellent and Affordable Healthcare -15 Business Days Vacation Minimum -1/2 Day Fridays in the Summer -Retirement 401k Matching -Tuition Reimbursement Cons: -Fairly strict 8am-5pm work schedule
Heath insurance co pay for dental and medical. Premium is high compared to other Tier one Auto companies in Michigan
Good 401K match as well as a pension savings plan which they automatically contribute to.
Best part of the benefits is that you have it. It's a 3% match contribution and your covered for health but its not crazy awesome. Great part is you start at 3 weeks vacation.
Good benefits relative to the industry
Average benefits in today's world.
Best things, in my opinion, are the 15 days of vacation, 100% tuition reimbursement w/ 2 year payback, and bonus package included at band levels above 3.
15 vacation days is nothing special, but the extra holidays and summer Fridays more than over-compensate.
