Employer Summary

Time off is as important to your professional productivity as it is to your personal well-being. We offer several types of leave that together total the time you need to live your life outside the office.

Paid Time Off (PTO)
As an eligible employee, you’ll be able to accrue paid time off for vacations, personal business, and short-term illness. You can also borrow up to 40 hours of PTO before you accrue it, with your manager’s approval.

Sliding accrual scale based on years of tenure.

  • Aug 02, 2019
StarStarStarStarStar Current Program Analyst in Washington, District of Columbia

Vacation time has to be accrued. Management can release a certain amount of pto to you but you better be good at explaining why you need time off from a job you didn't work at long enough.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Employee in Port Hueneme, California

PTO was allowed to be used frequently with no issues

  • May 02, 2019
StarStarStarStarStar Former Systems Administrator in San Antonio, Texas

Very flexible but slightly below industry standard.

  • Nov 13, 2018
StarStarStarStarStar Current Systems Administrator in Suitland, Maryland

Average. Accrue 4.6 hours per pay check. Holidays are average also. The way that Leidos keeps track of vacation days is weird. It is hard for employees to determine how many hours they have left of holiday hours for the year.

  • Aug 14, 2018
StarStarStarStarStar Current Systems Engineer in Washington, District of Columbia

Single bucket for vacation, sick, personal makes it easier to manage. Lower total numbers than you would expect, though.

  • Jun 15, 2018
StarStarStarStarStar Current Employee in Reston, Virginia

Eroding over the last few years with most significant hits to long term employees.

  • Apr 24, 2018
StarStarStarStarStar Current Employee in Boston, Massachusetts

It is okay if you are a new employee but they screwed many of the existing employees over by reducing their total PTO allotment.

  • Mar 01, 2018
StarStarStarStarStar Current Operations Lead in Leesburg, Virginia

Company vacation days don't match government days even though most of the company is government contractors. The rest is industry standard.
