It depends how you look at it. Assistant professors are on a 10 or 11 month contract. When school is in session, you have no sick days and no vacation. You are expected to take your vacation time during school vacation time.
You get a reasonable amount of paid vacation and sick days.
Very generous. Excellent time off given to start with potential to earn more. Additionally, holidays worked are converted to flexible vacation time.
Not the worst, not the best. Starting off you get 2 weeks PTO and. 2 weeks sick days
Vacation is 2 weeks if you start at the beginning of the year. If not, it is prorated. They provide 9 paid holidays and 6 personal/sick days.
Nothing to write home about (and it’s hard to travel home too considering the limited amount of time off you get)
All holidays, vacation and personal days. But HR is slow to processing your vacation and most likely will not be available to you until a week or two after the date you are supposed to receive them.
It is great for a new employee, but what you would expect for 4 or more years is below average.
Providing there are enough employees in your department to cover you and not during certain school events.
They let you bank paid holidays. So I was able to work the holiday, and use the day off later in the year.
