Tuition assistance revamped and designed not reimburse the employee for classes, anything divinity related , but yet we have a Donor Family services department, with limited no credentialed staff operating in positions that LCSW would operate in. Company will not pay for production staff to take science courses, and bio chemistry classes for advancement. Yet the positions held require working chemistry knowledge. Company will not pay for CNC techincal courses for production staff but have them operating CNC machines. Company restructuring need for staff to hold CTBS certification unless Supervisor or above, if trnafer departments will not pay for CTB recertification if working in the Organ Procurement departments. Nor will they pay for re-certification of clinical positions ceu's and recert's for RN's and Paramedics, ST's but seek employees with these back grounds, and credentials, and education levels. Company withdrew pay increase for certifications and degrees obtained while working for the company. Pay and Beneifits Market Value with competitors out of date. To recieve profit sharing contribution must be employed with company throughout the entire year to be awareded. October is know as heavy firing month and reduction of work force near five mark for to be considered a vested employee. Tenured staff with nearing 10, 15,20 years also discharged during October. Company has several EEOC filings against it , and non for ensuring staff have hard battle to win un-employement benefits in all states company has offices in. Company non to pegion hole mastered level education staff in non promotion jobs. Raise are slow and less than 5 percent at best. Starting pay is always at base or less than 5 percent above. The design of pay is for 15 year slow progression to top scale. Females start at lower pay than male counterparts. Company Provides Peanut Butter and Crackers and OTC Medication for upset stomach, Pain Relief in the break room areas, free Ice and water. Which is needed Processing / Clean Room staff have extreme exposures to bone, dust, blood and human flesh and tissue. Even with PPE provided you smell bone , blood and human flesh heating up as it is ran through band saw s, drills and CNC machines as its being cut. Processing and clean room support staff have very little time to eat, and go to the bath room. You have to dress-out scrub out and into the processing rooms. That takes 10-15 minutes to do this each way correctly and you have not reached a bathroom. The bathrooms are located in another locker room on the other side of the Concert Drive building. Processing staff have little to no time to eat, or go to the bathroom or breaks. Several staff written up because they went to the bathroom. Processing staff are not suppose to use bathroom in the ceramic tiled area of company. It is frowned upon to be in scrubs and use professional-admin staff area bathrooms. They are 2 of the bathrooms that are only open by keys from the front desk. Visitor only bathrooms. Employees that try take the so called authorized 2, 10 minute breaks and go to the bathroom, are singled out as trouble makers and non team players and re holding up the flow and production of the processing room they are working in. There is a extremely noticeable division between labor and management. Employees in scrubs are not spoken too unless they are Researchers, R&D, Lab, or Management by Senior Executive staff. Several processing staff written up for going to the bathroom and being late to the room, your required to hold all natural functions to unhealthy extremes before you break scrub so not to stop processing room flow. You are given 45 minute paid lunch, with 25 minutes of it used up to get dressed out/scrubbed out or in, you have only 20 minutes, for lunch. You cant leave the campus to eat and not be late. So the free crackers -peanut butter the company provides are your best option or snacks from the soda, or vending machines, or quick consumables from home far as lunch is concerned. Fridge provided for bag lunches and microwaves. Maternity employees have very hard to extreme time. Processing / Clean room employees that are Breastfeeding mothers are force to pump milk in locker rooms, or bath room. Company is not very maternity friendly. Little diversity or sensitivity training except a mandatory 20 minute annual halogen software skill path program on sexual harassment. Alternative life styles, and transgenders seeking employment beware of extreme lack of diversity and acceptance fostered. CEO gets a New Vehicle $ 45,000.00 value SUV every 2 years provided by the company and fuel card provided by the company for work and personal travel. Executive Leadership Senior VP's, VP's Directors, SR Managers - Managers , Clinical staff paid car allowances based on the position. Senior executives receive $700, Directors $500 a month , Managers $300 allowances a month. Plus mileage per IRS mileage rates. The Company admins are constantly renting cars for the staff to conduct local travel, that receive car allowances , to conduct in state work for the company. Executive Leadership provided coaching, and off campus Leadership Retreats with Keynote speakers. Several company paid golfing events for Executive and Sales staff throughout the physical year. Company Holiday party done away with since the founder died. Current CEO replaced with a Gala fundraiser, that staff must pay $100 per person to attend, monies goes to the company foundation. Company does provide pay roll deduction for staff wanting to attend the Gala event or any donation to be made to the foundation. Company has no matching of employee charity. Holds blood drive but provides no volunteer time off for events not directly the company or foundation. Company expects staff to support and work fund raiser events in a non paid status, for all hourly employees the company holds. Education / Tuition assistance after employee has paid finishes class/course with passing B grade or higher. Company done away with professional /higher education and certification raises given by the Founder for certification and degree achievements. Gym membership: company partnered with One Life Fitness , payroll deduction. Only break is One Life Fitness waived the joining fee. If you join another gym or health club membership the company will give you $15 a quarter after you provide print out from the gym or health club you have attended 5 hours a week for the quarter and you can be paid a max benefit of $84 extremely hard and cumbersome get $84 HR makes the program complicated have to submit the first of 3 months no exceptions and 5 hours documented from gym health club letter head to verify. Many positions at the company have extreme high stress and mentally, emotionally, physically demanding, very noticeable by the obesity in key stress positions in company, from the leadership and clinical staff and support staff. Company is smoke free workplace. Leadership and employee a like in higher positions go to their vehicle on campus to smoke , or the public sidewalk in front of or side of the company and the hospital and higher education building to smoke. Performance bonus is ever changing system and method of delivery, held for Directors and above, very reversed pyramid for fair equal compensation. Non-profit very non transparent. -
Best thing would be the extra unnecessary benefits such as a paid gym membership and tuition reimbursement
LifeNet Health currently offers a good benefit package for employees. Employees are also granted PTO, Maternity & Paternity Leaven, and Sick Time.
Earned PTO rate is nice. Benefits are overall very decent. 403b and profit sharing plan.
