First week is your own sick leave, weeks 2-7 are CA disability (untaxed), then LinkedIn gives you 6 weeks paid (taxed) with the option for an additional 6 weeks unpaid leave. They include the unpaid leave in the maternity leave quote, but don't explicitly explain that it's not paid unless you dig in. The Larking Company coordinates all this for you, which helps. With the new unlimited time off policy, you cannot use it towards parental leave. If you are hourly, you can use accrued time. Bottom line, they make it sound like more time than it is, but at least your job is guaranteed at the end.
