It would great to have when something bad happens to my health
Very expensive. Major medical not offered to part-time employees anymore.
Not the best coverage I've had
It is next to impossible to qualify for health insurance at Longhorn Steakhouse unless you work in the kitchen and get 40 hours a week. If you work out front as a server or bartender at cetera, management insurance that you get a yearly average of less than 30 hours so you automatically are disqualified for any kind of health insurance. I believe a lot of these traits are systematically in place so that the restaurant can keep its labor hours low and the managers can get the absolute highest bonuses possible.
Terrible healthcare plan, especially for families. Count on going private or with your spouse's/parents' insurance plan. Servers can't access it anyway since they don't allow them to work 30+ hours.
im not sure first job that actually offered me these benefits. To me it all seems nice. my other server jobs didnt offer shnitzels..but yeah.
I was still on my parents health insurance during my time there, however it helped out quite a few people around the work place.
Day 1 coverage for everyone
Pretty good tiered insurance, bronze silver and gold levels. Pay for what you need.
Great that they offer it early in your employment
