Lonza is going in the direction of non PPO large group plans and are trying to push more of a POS plan. The kind that is good if you dont have an accident and never have to see a doctor. So much so that they offered $400 cash into an HSA to convince/trick people into getting it. No one in my group bought it. If that becomes the norm, I would be concerned.

There are two health insurance options. You can choose a cheaper high deductible plan that has a health spending account. Lonza contributes $1500 per year for free to your HSA account if you choose this plan. The second health insurance plan is a traditional health insurance plan. The deductible is low ($200) and premiums are reasonable. I am on this plan with my spouse. For both of us, I pay $113/month including health, dental, and vision. It is a very good plan compared to plans at my previous employment.
