6% match. I think that's the max industry standard. No complaints.

Fidelity 401(k), they match 100% up to 6%, and they give you an annual percentage based on years of service. For 0-10 years, the Lab gives you an additional 3.5%.

Great plan! Matches up to 6% and additionally contributes 3.5% regardless. This increases to 4.5% after 5 years.

Company match 100% of 6% of your base salary, plus an extra employer contribution based on years of service

The Roth 401k makes it easy to have more post-tax income in retirement.

No clue what the older comments regarding the average-ness of the 401k are about. LANL matches 100% of your contribution up to 6% of income. PLUS a non elective employer contribution of between 3.5% and 5.5% (depending on your years of service). In other words LANL just dumps at least 3.5% of your salary into your retirement *without* you putting a dollar in. And you get the 6% match on top of that. Think of it this way (if you've worked at the lab 20+ years): you contribute 6%. Lab matches 6%. Lab adds another 5.5% in. Collectively that is nearly triple your contribution. I've never heard of an employer coming close to that. This is by far the best 401k I've seen. Many employers I see don't even match 100% up to 6% of income. I've seen some that match 3% of income and others that match nothing. Some will match 50% of your contributions.
