It's very generous. I have never worried about sick days, because they roll over and accrue! Hardly any companies do this and I don't know why because at past companies I worked at, people took sick days in Dec bc they knew they would expire. At LANL, if you accrue a certain amount, they reimburse you at retirement. So, LANL employees don't take sick days unless they are sick. Also, it has fostered a culture of "if you are sick, STAY HOME instead of coming in and making other people sick!" I think this is a great thing.
80 hours a year, about 2 weeks. Most managers are pretty lenient about using it for sick days vs personal days.
very competitive comparing to other companies in New Mexico
No payed sick, but very easy going if it occurred.
12-14 days every year which is average
Better than most private companies.
