Vacation time is always available and easy to request. The only issue is you have to compete with everyone else on when you can take it.

You earn vacation as you go along so you do not start out with a certain amount each year. It is horrible confusing and HR never knows what time you have coming. 3 Holidays a year. Terrible hours so you end up using parts of vacation here and there to compensate for lack of weekends off and lack of Holiday days off.

Employees receive a 10 day vacation after 1 year of work and 15 days off after 5 years. Some employees have earned 20 days off because they have worked for Lowe's for so many years. If you tack on just 5 of your days to a weekend, you get a full week off, and still have an additional 5 days to use later! It's a great system!

No one can really explain how vacation time accrues. It just starts to accumulate on your timecard information.

Vacatiin time is lacking. 5 days a year, and we cannot roll them over. However, sick time accrues very quickly, not that I would use unless I was dying.

Very hard to use it. Denied frequently. Bullied if you call out

As long as you are putting in your hours and have impressive work ethics, your vacation time and paid time off will be approved. They will give you a heads-up on when your paid time off is going to expire.
