Loyola university Chicago's health insurance plan is comprehensive. The also have an annual event called health days that is very interesting and shows you many different areas of the health plan that you may not have known existed.
The health insurance is okay, the premium is not bad as long as you "elect" to do a health screening the previous year.
It was good, covered lots of expenses for a surgery
Good coverage for employees at for health care and prescription benefits. Good hospital coverage as well. Could find better ways to integrate vision and dental though.
Good, but too freaking expensive.
When you leave the benefits stop immediately
The positive is that it's a PPO plan, but the negative is that it's the only plan they offer. There is not HMO or whatnot which makes it difficult because it means they have a monopoly and can charge individuals whatever price they want.
The best thing about working for this organization would be the benefits package which is affordable.
It is overpriced and underperforming. My first two years at Loyola they offered a much better insurance option, but then got rid of it and my costs more than doubled.
You can opt out if you already have insurance plan.
