“MDACC provides overall good health insurance. Although not the best, it is decent enough.”
“PTO is fair and sometimes they give recognition leave as well”
“Retirement Plan has multiple options depending on your needs”
You do not have to pay for your insurance which is BC Select, great benefit. Some employees are just there for a check, they can be rude and disrespectful.
As a state institution, we receive generous PTOs and good medical insurance. Although TRS can be a great pension plan, you need to stay at the institution long enough to fully be benefited.
Great place to work and total compensation including benefits is top notch!
The Benefits are Awesome! State Benefits
TRS, 557, and 403 plans are excellent. The health insurance is pretty good. Vesting in TRS takes 5 years but you can’t walk away with that match.
Best is by far retirement plans for faculty. Excellent employer match, as well as additional programs outside 401(k). Free healthy insurance for employee.
great benefits no cons on benefits package
medical and dental benefits are great
You accrue plenty of hours
Company has a lot of perks the main ones being that healthcare insurance for the employee is free! MD Anderson does not participate in 401k but rather 403b and this is optional and in addition to Teachers Retirement which is 7% that is directly matched.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
