    There are no perks working for MV you will learn allot regarding the buisness that is it!

    The current benefits package company wide is very poor for how large of a company it is. Most comparable companies offer a package that is what is consider a "night and day" difference.

    The benefits package is more of a pittance than a benefit. Premiums get lower the longer your tenure, but the coverage is awful, and it cost almost your entire salary to add your spouse to your coverage

    PTO, even for appointments, is very hard to get, requires prior application approval & subject to the whim of scheduling; since MV Transportation in Georgetown, DE is chronically short of drivers, this means, very seldom. Likewise for any vacation, available after 1 year, also subject to seniority. Health benefits were never made available after 5 months, requiring arranging healthcare through a private insurer; from those who did manage to get it, they were very expensive with a very high deductible. Any other benefits were unavailable due to the MV Transportation corporate HR being very hard to reach & unresponsive.

    MV has a history of shady deals to keep contracts and to make sure they "Own" the newest job deal. Making smaller companies loose out on getting a contract. contracts

    Low premiums for medical,dental, and vision insurance. Employee Assistance Programs are ok.

    Benefits are high in price and low in quality. Co-pays are thru the roof. Getting vacation time is seldom, you acrue about 2 hrs a pay period if you are tenured, so by the end of the year you may have a day. They want a weeks notice and you may not get your decision back within that week if at all or the day before at best. Best to just call in if you are not coming. You don't need a Dr excuse or any excuse to return unless you've been out for more than a week
