“One of the only perks (if not the only) or benefits was the employee discount you received during in-store purchases. ”
“ok but no rollover which matter in retail because you have to work all the holidays”
“Deductible is very reasonable .easy to use”
health, pto, employee discounts and community give back
good work life balance. health insurance, holidays off. PTO.
I was only working part-time so the benefits may be different from a full-time position. Benefits package includes: 401K, holiday pay, discounts, and flexible work schedule.
The dental is expensive however it does provide great coverage. The health insurance is expensive for very little coverage. It is basically there to say you have it
insurance has many options you can choose from so it depends on how much you want to spend
Great PTO Insurance is pricey 5 paid holidays
Vacation, 401k, leave, and discount
As long as you meet the "worked hours" qualification, Macy's offers 401k, HSA account, paid time off, medical, dental, and vision. The employee discount is just an added bonus!
Store discount was great. Base pay is good but middle of the road. Performers can do better. Managers and above get decent bonuses. Healthcare benefits are the worst ever. Highest deductibles. When I started even as a tech professional I was not eligible for healthcare for 6 months. "because we are retail" and treat store employees poorly. Insane and even they knew it and threw in signing bonus to cover COBRA for 6 months.
Best thing was the employee discount and additional 10% off events for employees only. Worst thing was the healthcare plan that developed into only being able to utilize insurance if you had major costs. They did away with copays and wanted us to 'shop around' for the cheapest price on xrays, lab work, dr visits, etc. I'm not a bargain basement type of person and did not appreaciate that approach with my medical coverage. Not good.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
