Macy's just cut all paid holidays from all their sales associates in the stores. They used to get paid for New Year's, Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now they will get nothing unless they work those days. Macy's has effectively cut their compensation by 6 days.

Since i am only a seasonal worker, i did not get any of the benefits. The only benefit i got was the employee discount.

Paid time off is not available for flex positions. Holiday season you are just assigned mandatory shifts for anytime of position

Working as a seasonal employee in Macy's gives me a lot of questions in my head on how they became successful as a company itself. The associates may have equal breaks when they are in work but getting schedules for the week is quite hard. In my experience, I only get 6-8 hours of shift in a week because there are no available shifts for the week. I don't understand why they hire so many associates in the first place but they don't compensate their schedules in the system that they have.

They do not offer any benefits to part time workers. You must be full time to earn any benefits. The only good thing is you can call off using the online system and trade shifts there. And you do receive a discount on everything in the store.

The benefits are slim to none, insurance is really expensive and not worth it.
