Paid time off and national holidays are provided to eligible associates based on your position, average hours worked and length of service with Macy's. PTO allows time to take a vacation, rest and relax, follow up on personal business, or manage an illness.
Vacation time for part-time is provided, based on average # of hours worked. Vacation time cannot be used during Nov./Dec. and is lost if not used in the calendar year
I managed to accrue four weeks vacation without realizing it. It was a welcome surprise.
There's no way to take PTO when you are working 60 hours a week.

Varies if you are Full time or Part time. You choose when to use your days online and manager approval is fast. You also get 3 unavailable days a month which you also choose online and the system approval is automatic.
Your lucky if you can take it when you want. During 4th quarter it was almost unheard of.
Changed the system after working for 3 year and divided your vacation between sick and PTO in two. Manager decline your socks and not explained how to submit your new sick days :
I get 3 weeks paid. Most companies are switching to unlimited or min of 4weeks off in my line of work.
You get paid on your vacation leave.
