Low pay and benefits could be better
Benefits have always been a shortfall for this company. Company went almost fully WFH during the pandemic and added a quarterly bonus of $120 for internet and supplies. 401K is capped at $400/year, with a minimum contribution of 1% Health insurance has gotten marginally better this year, with the addition of a new plan that has a higher premium but lower costs throughout the year. But still ridiculously expensive if you need to insure your family. Vacation time was increased a few years ago for new employees to two weeks. But you don't earn more until the 5-10 year points and a day a year until you get to four weeks. Sick time is 5 days/year. Used to be more for people with a salary, but was changed in right before the pandemic. Fewer company holidays than other places and you get one floating holiday Time off depends on the manager. Some managers are really cool about it. Some require you to make up sick time or track how long you are in the bathroom. Gave a lot in profit sharing last year, but forced it all into our 401Ks, when a lot of us really could have used that in our pockets. There is supposed to be a wellness benefit of $100 per year, but there is nothing you are allowed to use it on.
The cost of their healthcare coverage is horrible!

Generally, the company does a good job with providing benefits but the 401k match could use a boost to remain competitive. The company is moving in a positive direction with their attempts of improving work/life balance and assisting employees as the company has transitioned to a primarily remote workforce. Medical benefits, including dental, vision, and healthcare are competitive. The company is generous with their contribution to the employee's premium costs although family plans quickly get expensive.
401K match is capped at $400 Company is self-insured. All high deductible plans and only physicals are covered until deductible is met. Then it is 80/20 until the max out of pocket is met. Coverage for single employee is not horrible. But for a spouse or family, coverage is $900+ a month. Salaried employees sick days were reduced to 5/year. Time off depends on manager. Some are great about it, others are not. There is no corporate policy; divisions make their own rules. Vacation is capped at 4 weeks. You can carry over 200 hours from the previous year You cannot buy more days or give someone else your vacation days You get 1 floating holiday and 8 paid holidays There is short-term disability. But if you need to go even one day beyond that, your terminated.
Insurance is not great. Work life balance is great.
Benefits are expensive and not everyone can afford them.
Okay Health Insurance for individuals
Decent health coverage through Cigna; costs are significant for a family. 401K match is meager but at least there is some match. Work-life balance is easy to achieve.
