Job training at Maraino's for myself was typically in-store. I learned a lot from getting into departments and learning from working.

I only got paid for an hour of training even though i was there for 4. When I saw my check I was like god damn. Thats a slap in the face.

One thing that this Mariano's ought to have put in their employee handbook and should've stressed upon is the fact that you cannot scan alcohol (whether you're a cashier or bagger) unless you are 21 years of age. Weird store policy, but if it is that important to them, they ought to tell their under-aged employees before they are put on any job regarding the substance. Everything else regarding the store was an experience I will never forget.

The worst thing about the job training is having to sit at a computer for about a week and 5 hours a day.

all training is done on computer and has very little to do with what you will actually be doing on the job and does not help you learn a thing about the products you will be selling. youre going to be running to coworkers asking the most basic annoying questions all the time

Before they trained cashiers real well, but now that they're desperate for people they are hiring people and not training them correctly because of how quick they want them to work.
