very generous with PTO, but it's use-it or lose-it. They recently moved some "flex" time so it's harder to use.
good amount of vacation, sick leave. changed from all PTO to vacation/sick recently, but still more than before.
I think this is very good. Not unlimited
There are places that start way higher. In the tech industry it's common to be highly competitive here. I only put a 3 instead of a 2 because their work life balance and how you put in your hours is a VERY flexible 5.
Since splitting sick, personal, and vacation time, this is a wait and see
Black out Thanksgiving to New Year, days are categorized into sick, personal and vacation and cannot be combined, vacation need a 2 week minimum approval, you have to be there 5 years before you start getting more time off, ZERO PAID MATERNITY LEAVE- and you can forget paid paternity leave
I hated working there, so the PTO was a perk.
Generous for 1 year or less employees
1-5 years gets 3 weeks paid time off and an extra two floating holidays as well as all national holidays.
Most Utah tech companies are offering open PTO. This is MarketStar's competitive disadvantage when compared to other tech companies in Utah.
