Best: 5% company match to 401K, Pension Plan Worst: Want's to be an innovative tech-like company, but doesn't have any innovative employee benefits (like many tech companies have)
Decent time off, improving 401(k) plan with better and cheaper options and full match on first 5% of salary deferral, cash balance plan, HSA contribution match as part of HDHP, company gym, employee discounts
Since it's a large company MassMutual offers nice benefits. You have to hit certain thresholds to qualify for the company 401(k) match. Fairly difficult thresholds.
They had a fair vacation policy, they offered incentives for which they would contribute to your HSA, the 401(k) match was good.
Decent pension, 401k Health plan sucks. High deductible, no other options.
No perks unless you make over 70000fyc.
Zero benefits and zero options for benefits until you've been with the company a minimum of 6 months.
only high deductible health insurance
Health insurance, company match 401k, pension, group life, group disability
The claim in their annual report that they proudly have 5000 employees but most of them are contract people and are not really employees. Thus the benefits are not the same and you pay monthly for the Health benefits and then pay a co pay for each drug and have a 3000 upfront pay on all prescriptions before the insurance kicks in. The worst plan I have ever had in my life. I did not take it . They give you a list of " office benefits" you get that " sets Massmutual apart " from everyone else. This list is mostly inaccurate. They say they give you 50 bucks a month if free promotional mailings and when you start working, mailing out to prospects is shunned upon there. They actually called me an old dog that needed to learn new tricks. Their " Tricks " were simply trade shows and Mortgage leads. These two marketing items are the two least used in the industry from my 20 years of working in the industry. They did not care if I even acquired my licenses to sell investments because they wanted me to know , they total focus in this office was MassMutual Life Insurance products to families. Everything evolved around this focus and I did not know this until well into my first month there. I was told at hiring that all products pay out the same commission so there would be no pressure to sell certain products but this is not true at all. They Promote their own products and do not give you as much or any credit for selling other types of products that are not Proprietary and their own.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
