As I said in the main summary, health insurance involves overpaying for mediocre coverage. It's like am umbrella that melts in the rain. If you pay $3,750/year for a Gold plan (young adult, generally health, no dependents, single coverage), like me, you'll be shocked at things that may not be covered in the event of an issue, like an ambulance ride that personally cost me over $1,000!
