There is no sick leave, or personal leave offered. When I don’t work, I don’t get paid

Below are the WEEKLY premiums for Maxim Benifits from their 2019 Benefit guide. Coverage Level Basic / Silver / High Ded. T1 / High Ded T2 / Standard Employee Only $30.00 / $99.00 / $135.75 / $23.02 / $148.00 Employee Plus Child $78.34 / $231.86 / $217.21/ $217.21 / $300.00 Family $138.46 / $415.38 / $420.84 / $420.84 / $515.39 Keep in mind that Basic Level insurance only covers your regular GP visits and Urgent Care. There is no coverage for Hospitals or anything major. So for 1 Month for the employee plus their kid to basically only get their vaccinations is $313.36 a month (assuming you're full time). If you actually want hospital coverage you're looking at shelling out $1,200 every month. That's also before you add any other coverage like vision or dental. This is INSANE! Honestly Maxim should be ashamed of themselves. Most employees go without insurance because of the cost. Combine that with their lack of any real sick time and you end up with sick caregivers next to critically ill patients.

Coverage is good, however not industry leading by any means.

Benefits are prorated on a month to month basis with no personal days for illness or time off. If you drop the total hours in the month for your status your insurance coverage is decreased or terminated
