Time off is accrued for the upcoming year. So an employee can work for almost 2 years before they are eligible for a standard 2 weeks of vacation pay. Standard days off common in the business world like Martin Luther King Day, the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve are not acknowledged as holidays currently.

They try to give you absolutely 0 vacation the first year. You really have to fight for the time. Don't get three weeks until 7 years.

You have to work a full year before you get any vacation time and then you get 80 hours a year for the next 7 years. You have to "earn" your sick hours, you get 1 hour of sick time added to your bucket for every 48 hours that you work up to a max of 40 hours a year. Unless you are a salary employee, then you apparently have unlimited sick hours available.
