Offers comprehensive benefits package, paid time off. Generous holiday pay.
Health Insurance is expensive.
Paid time off is pretty generous. Profit sharing is nice but fluctuates wildly and is allocated subjectively. 401k vesting is slowest allowed by law. Monthly socials to build camaraderie. Health insurance coverage has decreased but costs have stayed constant. Dental and very basic life insurance provided; vision is voluntary. Hours can be flexed a little if you communicate.
The company benefits were fine, nothing out of the ordinary. Monthly socials required attendance. Good internal assistance on benefits when needed.
It's a scam it seems as though they have their own inside benefits company going on.
Although they offer what would appear to be a standard benefits package, it is below the norm. 401k: They only match up to 3%. Other companies which I've worked for offer up to 6%. Health/ Dental: Health copay is ridiculously high with their plan. Dental checkups and cleanings are not free. This is below the norm for companies which I've worked at. Work from Home: They tell you that you can if you need to, but when you choose to, you are scolded. Even with heavy snow-storms, they will expect you to be in the office- despite a long commute. Military leave: Well, duh- it's federally mandated. Volunteer time off: only if it's as a group. They set aside a few days per year to stroke their PR as a group.
Not very flexible on many things. Has a "Workplace Destination" committee to try to create a more attractive workplace, yet there has yet to be anything implemented yet. Sometimes stuck in a "but this is how it has always been done" attitude
