I think having vacation and PTO is nice; I do think the amount of those should be raised. Like I said before, it's another hot topic that not every American citizen gets to have.

Good number of PDOs, especially if you have worked for them for a while. Some holidays are not paid, too many black out dates and bosses will deny PDOs making it hard to plan anything.

You get a fair amount of it, but, unless you get approved at least a month in advance, it's up to your manager wheither you get that time off or not.

I've been with Meijer for almost 10 years rules have changed over and over again with the pay scale and paid time off. I the beginning I received 30 hr. That's was in 09 then in 2017 a bother 30 hr. Long stretch. I like working at Meijer but come on they need to do as they say PTO according to the years worked

Pretty standard for industry. 2 days at 6 months, 5 days (or 7 if full time) at a year, 5 days at 2 years (8 if full time). 8 days at 3 years (13 if full time), ETC.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Call Center Manager in Coon Rapids, Minnesota

Since everyone usually wanted the same time off, you had to plan and request time off well in advance of taking it.

  • Oct 24, 2017
StarStarStarStarStar Former Employee in North Chicago, Illinois

I had 21 days per year but it was like pulling teeth to get the time off. I had to plan vacations around blackout days and 4 other people’s vacation
