Contribution matching for retirement plan. Generous PTO. Ability to cash out PTO. Free Employee Assistance Program.
skimp on the insurance benefits each year
Great benefits overall. Worst thing about the benefits package is that you can't use their healthcare plan and go to another hospital. They only cover Memorial Hermann Hospitals in the area, and specific hospitals if you are outside of the area.
Health insurance is pretty widely accepted around the Houston area, PTO accrual is fair.
2 weeks of PTO, 6% match for 403 b retirement for full time employees. Not so great is the health insurance plans
You can only go to select providers and you aren't covered at all if you are out of the local area.
Best is it's effective day 1 of employment. Great coverage for family. Worst is communication with HR. My son was dropped from policy without me knowing. Cost me a lot of money. Premium very reasonable
Nothing bad about the benefits at all.
I loved the hours available at this job. The supervisors would allow you to work doubles upon request (when available). They are through a contractor however, but the advantage is that its about the same as if you were a regular employee; the hospital also hires from within. Shift differentials, and also time and a half for working on holidays. They are strict about attendance, and no PTO I don't believe, that would be the only flaw. Great company overall Cardinal Health. The premiums can be costly as well, depending on which plan you choose.
Not enough holidays as rest of the state and nation
