The benefits package is very generous. Reasonable PTO program, especially after hitting the 5 year mark. Many options for health care benefits, and reduced cost to employees who participate in a health & wellness program. Worst thing is that you are sometimes asked to "flex" or "furlough" off, and must use PTO if you want a full paycheck. When you first start out and don't have much time in your PTO bank, this can be a little frustrating.
For a health system, their health care options were not so impressive. I understand that they want to incentivize their employees to use their own system, but they made it very expensive to go outside the system to get care. A lot of employees have doctors and specialists they've been seeing for years, and to continue seeing them became very expensive. Every year it seemed they tightened the budget for employee benefits.
Worst: All time off, including vacation, personal, sick and holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas is taken from your EARNED time off. There are no paid holidays or sick time off. If they close the office early for whatever reason (not in your control), you still have to use your EARNED time off or take it as unpaid. Earned time off is 7.69 hours for every 2 week pay period if you've been an employee for 5 years or less. New employees who start working before the holidays are out of luck on their pay since they haven't accumulated enough EARNED time off. Okay: 401k-not that great-no matching until you been there for a while. Matching percent very small and is vested over many years. Best: great health insurance benefits, GoodLife program promotes employee wellness and you can earn discounts on your insurance premiums.
the best thing would be the health ins. if you work full time. great coverage and it hardly cost you anything
Tremendous amounts of training for those who are interested in continuous learning. This is an area where MHS really invests in their employees.
Average and standard benefits. No perks.
Healthcare discount for qualified employees
Good PTO program, good pay, and great wellness benefits!
IF you stay within the MHCS, your out of pocket cost is small, that being said you would be in a HMO. Vision and Dental are below par, however, I have not been to many companies that have excellent coverage.
Nothing bad Well managed. Be more open to working from home for administrative staff.
