Benefits were very good and provided a great plan for not only me but my family as well. Also hsd a good 401k
The benefits are pretty good for a construction company. Extremely good if you're used to working for smaller/local companies. As this has been my first job with a national construction company, it is far better than anything I've had with smaller builders or re-modelers. Everyone starts out with 15 days paid leave and 11 company holidays. Far better than the 6 holidays and 5 days leave I started at for each of my previous employers. While the health insurance is a higher deductible plan, the company also offers a matching HSA which helps a lot. Dental and vision insurance is good too. Exact same coverage as my previous employer, but at half the cost to me since Meritage pays more towards it. Some basic life insurance is paid for by the company with an option to purchase more. Total cost paid by Meritage for all of the benefits I've signed up for is right at $16K/yr
Good preventative health care plan
Terrible health insurance. You basically have a huge deductible. You can get paid time off, but no one ever gets it since they work their employees to death.
Just average benefits on par for the industry. The health insurance is okay and they offer some other insurance as well.
Full Time with flexible hours
The paid time off is excellent (over 3 weeks a year). The bad is the insurance is awful. Borderline being uninsured.
Medical coverage is awful. The coverage is basically catastrophic only - meaning you have to pay thousands before the benefits kick in.
Good health insurance, great 401k. Really lousy time off even at senior levels. No sick days just one paid time off (PTO) pool.
Health insurance is not good. There is no co-pay. You have a deductible & pay a percentage. No option for supplemental insurance such as Aflac.
