The gift store discount is low.
Discount in the gift shop, plus twice yearly sales.
Employee discount sometimes doubles during the holidays. Unfortunately, double discount does not apply to sale items anymore.

It is on par with other institutions, the holiday and special discounts given twice the year are great and i would usually wait until those times to make any purchases
You get 50% off at the staff cafeteria but only 10% at the gift shop.
