The company's matching 401k program is highly competitive, and the health care options seem to be on par with industry standards. I was impressed with the standard life insurance program along with additional options at the employee's discretion.
They gave generous amounts of vacation time. However actually being allowed to take a vacation due to the heavy workload was rare. They also changed the vacation rollover policy to only being allowed to rollover 80 hours instead of 140%, supposedly this was to ensure the employee took vacations, but in reality it was to tie up loose ends to look good for investors due to a refinancing they were going through.
I liked the ability to have off every other Friday.
High Cost, Limited options for medical coverage
Excellent benefits. The 401k program is very good. The health insurance is great. No complaints.
It is expensive! I can't afford to use my insurance! You get financially penalized if you do not participate in the "wellness clinics" 4 times a year, every three months, they want you to attend one and have your blood drawn and submit to other tests put in by insurance company. If you don't, you will wind up paying double for your insurance. there is no opt out or other ways to qualify for discount!! so unless you want your insurance company knowing every bio metric thing about, avoid them.
Company benefits are better than average.
The medical, dental, vision, and pharmaceutical plans are okay if you work in Pittsburgh. If you work elsewhere they are sub-par with similar companies.
health insurance is competitive with other companies in the business. 401k match is also competitive. Paid Time Off rollover was recently changed and is a major con for employees.
Many options for the offered plans
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
