Excellent value on health benefits, PTO and flexibility on schedule.
Vision plan is a waste of money and Aetna co-pays are excessive.
Ridiculously high health care premiums. I honestly don't know how people in other sections of the country can afford health insurance, very seriously. Aetna at least gives two options, neither of which is ideal or even remotely gives the sense that anybody cares about "the little guy." Formerly had separate vacation and sick time, now all of it is consolidated into one "PTO" equaling the previous amount of vacation time (meaning you essentially have no sick time anymore). Holidays also cut. Overall a quite horrible benefits package. I don't know how the benefits team can continue to send emails each open enrollment period saying how they've fought so hard to keep our package competitive. Recently decided in yet another cost-cutting move to ditch all company cell phones and make employees pay for them themselves, and now considering removing toll reimbursements for those who take toll roads to get to work.
The comprehensive benefits package helps to off-set the below to average salary. When possible, employees are given the flexibility to their own work hours in/out of the office. Some offices are better than others but most all do some form of community service and social events.
Benefits are competitive in the industry. 401K is a big feature for most employees
Paid Time Off is accumulated according to years employed for the company at a decent rate. The health care, life insurance and 401K benefits are above average.
Vacation and sick time are combined into one PTO pot that runs out very quickly. Inhumane.
Benefits package not very competitive
Michael Baker International offers 401K with company match depending on profitability; healthcare costs copay by employees has increased with the increasing cost of heathcare
Good Coworker, good environment, nice benefit
