    It is really great if you are an international student because medical expenses in the United States can be pretty expensive for an international student.

    Good coverage, but better plan is too expensive for most staff. Family coverage is at your own expense.

    Health insurance was accepted at many surrounding area doctor's offices so you have many choices, low cow pays for office visits and prescriptions.

    The best part is that it covers pretty much everything and are provided for free to all graduate students (although I was told this was given in part by negotiation from the Graduate Employee Union with the univeristy). The downside is for dental insurance you actually need to pay ($200/yr), but it's still good.
