“Health insurance will be covered for the employee and the dependents will have to pay 20% of the overall price of the coverage.”
“Standard bay area 10 paid holidays”
“Very good contribution rates by company”
Health Insurance Options with employee premiums are more than reasonable. 401K is disappointing only matchincg 50% for the first 4%, but Employee Stock Purchase Plan up to 10% of salary at 15% discount is outstanding.
Salary is competitive in the bay area, perhaps a bit below average. Benefits on medical and dental are good. The only problem I have is with zero 401K contribution matching, which is disappointing.
Good health insurance. No tuition fee reimbursement.
Average vacation, good medical, below average 401k match.
Good company to work for
Private insurer using the Cigna network. Always a pain.
Microchip created their own plan, not a plan administered by one of the big medical insurance plans. This resulted in lower employee costs and better quality service. Had the same surgery on both knees, one with Microchip's plan and the other thru my wife's big med ins plan, the big med plan cost much more and the procedure was done at an office complex, the first knee was done at a hospital complex.
A bit 1980's-ish and completely unlike most high tech firms. Stingy bonuses, bonus claw-back if you take more than 2 weeks off in a quarter (total of vacation, sick, bereavement, etc), annual holiday allotment maxes out at 4 weeks and takes a long time to get there. Annual salary increases of less than 1% seem to be the norm.
Great benefits. Flexible HR Dept
The company has a wide array of benefits they offer. Offering 5 different medical plans, dental, vision, quarterly bonuses, discretionary 401k matching and restricted stock units. They have a free on-site health clinic that employees can use at no cost to them or their dependents.
