This position payed for most of my school thition
Educational benefits for employee and family.
GA's don't get much other than tuition assistance.
I am a young individual so the benefits package is great to me. It is a little prices but I would assume they all are but I have no complaints all the main areas are covered.
While it is nice to get paid while learning valuable skills to take forward, the best benefit is the free tuition.
Even as a student worker, you have the option to put some of your income into a 401(k). The school matches whatever you decide to put in, up to a certain limit.
No benefits for adjunct professors/instructors
Health insurance. Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Matching 401k. Also, since it's a state school you can sign up for a pension option. Summers off. A month off between semesters. TN Partners Health coach. AFLAC insurance too. The have a daycare but I don't use. The have a college elementary school where they train teachers that's supposed to be great. The pay is very state school average so not great. Nice small town with town square. Pretty campus.
The pay is low compared to comparable universities. The benefits are fair and from the state.
I lived in a newly renovated 2br apartment for free. Cable, electricity, and internet were all included for free.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
