Moffitt Cancer Center values its employees and is committed to providing a comprehensive and competitive benefits package
The employee match for retirement contribution and maternity/paternity leave
the medical insurance is okay the dental insurance is the worst part
Benefit hub was ok. Could’ve been better deals. Health care was reasonable. Dental could’ve been better. Eye coverage was decent!
PTO is prorated based on when you join. PTO includes sick time and mandatory holidays. So if you start in fourth quarter of the year, X-mas, thanksgivings and new year holidays will be automatically deducted from your PTO. First 3 months are usually probation, so staff can't take time off during first three months. After 3 months, you start accumulating approx. 8 hrs per months. If a holiday falls in that month, too bad! It will be deducted. You get decent PTO after you complete 3 years at Moffitt. Exception: Post doctoral employees and faculty have different accrual schedule and are not subjected to probation period. Note: PTO accrual and restrictions may be different for different type/level of employees. Ex. Full time management/non- management staff can accrue maximum 167 hrs PTO per year (minus 8 days holidays) = 12 days for sick or time off.
401k it was pretty good
Matching for retirement, various options for medical insurance, dental, vision, Life insurance, PTO. Childcare close to location, cost for childcare.
Somethings that new staff/employees may not know about Moffitt's PTO is it includes holidays. So realistically their PTO days is ~8 days less than the 'said' earned days. There are no separate sick days either.
The insurance if flexible so all employees have options. They will match 401K up to 6%.
Despite substantial decline in the recent years, Moffitt still offers a fairly good benefits package. Although keep in mind that premiums, as well as deductibles and copays, keep increasing yearly.
Absolutely no benefits whatsoever and no pay on holidays so if thanksgiving happens you have to work 13 hour days to get a full paycheck for that week.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
