The best thing is that the benefits have been and still are very comprehensive. the bad news is that either you, or the company, or both, will probably not be around much longer to take advantage of them
Good benefits for individual and family
They offered decent health care plans (medical, dental, vision, flexible spending) that you paid a portion of and they also matched part of your 401 K contribution.
Employee cost of health care premiums were unbelievable low, compared to other employers. The premium to cover my entire family were half of what other employers charged. Thus a savings of a few hundred dollars a month.

Nothing special, very typical, offering the least amount required by California law. Retirement package could be curated better then it currently is managed.
