The fact that Mosaic had health insurance made up for their low hourly wage.

The health insurance carrier is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska and individual coverage is free if you participate in a free wellness program.

The health insurance is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, which can make it difficult finding providers in other states. The providers available are limited, especially for specialists. I'm basically limited to seeing 3rd year residents for the specialists I see, which is fine, but it means I'm only with a doctor for a year before they graduate and then I need to start over with a new provider. The cost is decent; my plan is $110 per month for me and my spouse; the next tier up is around $360 per month. I'm not really sure what a good solution is. I know group coverage is expensive, and it's hard to get the employee participation needed for the wellness programs to lower the costs. If Mosaic could look into alternate coverage providers though, something like Humana, which is widely accepted and offers really nice incentive programs, it would be great. The Dental Plan is offered separately, and is very nice. It's $30 per paycheck for me and my spouse.

Health insurance itself wasn't bad, but the cost to employee for family coverage was extremely expensive; $12,000 a year.
