“Low pay as compared to industry average ”
“The longer you work there, the faster you accumulate vacation/sick days. Usually 1 full day per pay period to start. ”
“Matches contributions up to a certain percent. ”
Very reasonably-priced medical benefits; same with dental and vision benefits. There is incentive to stay within the Mount Carmel Health System for medical care.
Bonus/merit pay cancelled (on top of unilateral temporary pay reduction) or no connection to employee performance
The company offers a lot of great Benefits. I was a part time employee and received almost as good as full time. There are a lot of perks when it comes to traveling and activities.
Employer contribution to HSA is considerable, however deductible for midlevel plan is still quite high. Dental and Vision plans are reasonable. Wish more discounts were offered for gym memberships.
403 savings plan , salary lower than average in columbus
The tuition reimbursement program helped me through nursing school.
The medical. dental, and vision benefits give colleagues several options and at moderate pricing. During my career I have seen both higher and lower premium and coverage..
Have to use PTO for holidays
The health insurance was great. Leave of absence was not so great especially maternity. They lost my paperwork multiple times and failed to keep me updated on the status of my FMLA
Absolutely terrible. The monthly payments are low but that is because the insurance is basically useless. They do not cover infertility at all and unless you are on the highest plan, they don't cover any sort of behavioral health services. The deductibles are huge and the out of pocket max is twice that. The tool on Aetna to search for a provider who is in network is ALWAYS wrong. You will never know what you are going to pay for something and the referral network is weak when it comes to quality of care. Seriously, if you expect to use the insurance here when you get a job, just look elsewhere. Now for Family leave - nothing. You get nothing. I don't know what kind of standard there is for this but at this hospital system you get 5 weeks paid at 60%. If you have been employed full time for over a year then you will fall into the category of if you want to take more time, you can but your job is only secured for 12 weeks (state law). For being a hospital system, I am just completely disappointed in every single aspect of the benefits. I have never in my life encountered so much incorrect information, terrible service by the providers we are limited to see, and over charging. Anything you do will be charged more than you expect because the coverage is not clear on everything and even if you think it is, it ends up being different. And don't try to call customer service for help understanding these things, because they know what you know... which is squat.
