Depending on the location of the hospital, vacation and time off was accommodated.

You start with no vacation or sick leave, although they will front you vacation time if you're hired near a holiday and you haven't accrued enough time.
PTO is accrued monthly, and you can keep accruing it with no cap
The benefits are fine there's nothing bad .
Accrual is great, but ability to use it is a challenge!
It's based on a seniority system.
You have to use vacation time (16) hours before sick time kicks in. I have also been forced to come to work sick.
