Benefits are average in comparison to other local companies.
The company provides free insurance for both union and and company employees. Virtually unheard of in today's world.
Surprisingly, the benefit package while working at Murray Energy was probably the only best thing. There was never any employee recognition - only criticism; never any events for employees or their families which created a very low morale throughout the company.
The only reason its good is because of the union. they dont care about you. They look for ways to get out of it.
Health insurance thus far is top notch. You get it once your employed and it cost a dollar a check. Dental is 6 months after hire and 401 k is optional and not all that great.

Insurance used to be absolutely great. Average at best now.
They put 3 dollars in 401k for every hour worked. work 50 hrs 150 dollars in 401k. medical insurance has 12 dollar copay rest 100% paid. Single or family 100% paid by company.
Health Insurance is unheard of- 100% coverage, $0 Premium, $0 Deductible 401k 100% match up to 6% contribution Great monthly bonuses that are production based
