You get 5 sick days. Use them or lose them.
No delineation between sick and vacation. 15 days off per year.
We get what's called "Personal Time" here. It usually equals 5-7 days, dependent on how the paid holidays fall on the calendar. This time can be used towards appointments, and vacations too. You can spend it however you like. As a generally healthy person, it's plenty of time. I use most of it to go out of town on vacation. If I got sick a lot, or had kids, I could see how this might not be enough.
This is the same as other companies
They are separate from vacation which is nice. Basically you can expect 5 days per year for PTO.
Take them when you need them.
Very flexible. Never had a manager care that you were taking sick days. They were your benefit and could take them as you pleased.
