9/80 schedule is fantastic
Although I was part-time and didn't reap the full benefits of a full-time salary and benefits, I was able to receive a portion because I worked more than a certain amount of hours per week. The benefits are good, and JPL is very benefit-friendly to people with kids.
The hours are pretty flexible depending on which project you're on. Can accrue a maximum of 320 hours of vacation time.
All standard benefits covered (healthcare , retirement, etc.) - but limited tuition reimbursement and no pension, stock options, bonuses, etc.
PPO & HMO available, time off is good
JPL covers everything from medical to retirement, overtime compensation, vacation, sick leave, military leave, and even flexible work hours.
I was an intern but they were extremely accommodating with housing relocation costs.
They put together a great package. However, the overall all treatment of women. Especially my witnessed experience of JPL STUDIO was terrible.
403b plan contributes 5% of salary automatically after 6 months
No PPO health insurance plan
