Being a global company they don't do company holidays. You get X days per year, and if you want to take a US holiday off, then you use that day, otherwise you don't get it (e.g. Veteran's day)
You can accrue PTO. So many lay-off's and short staffed from quitters that you don't get to take it.

Very good PTO plan; however it is very difficult to get time off approved. And if you do have time off, you are expected to still work.

Vacation/PTO are pulled from the same pool of hours. They provide a decent amount, but planning it is dependent on your manager and is difficult and frustrating to plan and manage, as it is supposed to be planned a year ahead of time.
A fair policy, the only negative is not having carry over time to the following year under any circumstances.

Sometimes can't really afford taking a nice vacation where i can afford a plane ticket, hotel and dinning for anytime over two days.
