You start with minimal vacation and holidays, but your vacation time grows with seniority. There's support for two days paid leave to attend conferences, plus most folks get to take from Dec 26-31 off.
There is no reason for a tech company not to have generous or flexible PTO, but this is an old-fashioned company that makes employees work there for years and years before PTO starts to be reasonable. Tough to do when they keep having layoffs and closures.
PTO rate increased the longer you were with the company.
