Unlimited non-accruing PTO policy has it's pluses and minuses. I'm a big fan of it though.
There is no accounting for PTO or sick days. You just agree with your manager appropriate time off. Works well and less stressful than counting days.
It varies depending on the team you are part of. Usually, your manager is the only person that needs to know and if he/she is ok, you can have a very decent number of days off.
