Very good coverage that's affordable.
Expensive healthcare and no 401K match :(
its average. 3 weeks of vacation.
Worst thing is lack of paid maternity leave and no 401k matching
They start you off as temp-perm. Make you wait about year to become a full-time employee. Benefits package is pretty good. Start you off with 2 weeks vacation, 12 sick days a year.
Unfortunately, NYDN no longer matches 401k.
Solid health insurance, a company phone, and a good HR team.
Health insurance is fine, and you get 3 weeks vacation, which is nice.
Worst is coffee runs daily, I feel that is such a intern myth, getting coffee gets you no where, they should actually teach you other things.
Health insurance coverage was terrible, very expensive and the providers were constantly changing. One year it would be one extremely limited list of doctors, the next year they'd switch insurance providers and it would be a different extremely limited list of doctors. Once they ALSO changed mid-year, so we had three different lists (with little overlap) in one year. It was essentially impossible to find quality care using the "in-network" providers. You'd try to call the insurance company for available doctors and they'd say "oh here's someone, only an hour away in a car-only suburb." Employees paid most of the premiums. Basically the company didn't care at all what they provided as long as they could claim they offered health insurance.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
