AWESOME benefits here at NRPA. Employees accrue up to 30 days of PTO per year (one day per pay period), which helps promote a work-life balance. A 7.5 hour workday is the standard here, which I also enjoy. If you enroll in the health insurance plan with the HSA, NRPA contributes a big chunk of money to your account every year, and you keep it if you don't use it. Definitely worth the high deductible, in my opinion. The office does a lot of fun events and staff retreats throughout the year, and is a casual environment. The telework policy is flexible, making it a great fit for those who do not work in or near Ashburn and wouldn't want to commute there 5 days per week. Because of the distance from DC and proximity to the Dulles Toll Road, it would be great to have some sort of commuter allowance (EZ pass), but the telework policy helps balance that out. Office closes down (light duty telework) between Christmas and New Years, and there are a decent number of paid holidays throughout the rest of the year. All in all, NRPA puts a big emphasis on work-life balance and makes an effort to have an office environment that people enjoy coming to every day.

So much PTO, wonderful benefits, I have never had PTO declined by a supervisor. Picnics, gym on site, walking trails, lunches at all staff meetings, and the ability to work from home for up to 3 days a week.
NRPA has a generous vacation package starting with a full day off every payday. We have a pet friendly office as well which is fun! They also contribute 75% of the deductible to all of the HSA accounts for employees. The 403b is also matched at 6% and immediately vested, One con is that there are no transportation benefits for folks closer to DC and Maryland.
