A fellow coworker was highly discriminated against due to her pregnancy. In fact, our supervisor mentioned that Our supervisor stated that the employee would be scheduled overnight shifts until the time she goes into labor and not a day early without the note of a physician. Our supervisor refused to help this employee change her schedule to better accommodate her pregnancy for the entire nine months that the pregnancy was known. As far as actual Maternity Leave goes, there were still issues. Initially, the employee was told she could not use her PTO while on Short Term Disability/Maternity Leave. HR was unclear about how to apply for the benefits and so on.
